Auditor M.C. } This indenture witnessth that whereas on the 13th day of
    To       } December AD 1824 and on the 11th day of December AD 1826 for
Wm Skinner   } and in consideration of the sum of eighty one dollars forty
               six cents six mills to me William Weldon Auditor of Meigs
County in hand paid the receipt whereof is duly acknowledged as appears by
two certificates of sale to William Skinner for the lands herein after
described by William Weldon County Auditor as aforesaid for acreages of
Taxes from Phineahas Pukering to the State of Ohio for the years AD 1822,
1823, 1824, and 1825 for lands entered in the name of Phineahas Pukering
for Taxation to wit Five hundred and forty acres of land in Section No.
thirteen and six hundred and forty acres of land in Section No. Nineteen
and Fraction No. thirteen and Fraction No. nineteen all in Range Fifteen
Township No. nine in the Ohio Company's purchase also one hundred acres Lot
No. one hundred and sixty four in Range Eleven Township No. Two Ohio
Company's purchase containing in all one thousand eight hundred and four
acres be the same more or less.  Now Know ye that I William Weldon Auditor
of Meigs County for and in consideration of the premises aforesaid by
virtue of the authority in me vested have given, granted, conveyed and
confirmed and by these presents do grant, convey and confirm unto the said
William Skinner and to his heirs and assigns the said one thousand eight
hundred and four acres of land together with all improvements whatsoever to
the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revision
remainder and profits thereof and all the estate right, title and interest
of him the said Phinahas Pukering or of the former proprietor of in and to
the same. To have and to hold the lands is hereby conveyed with all and
singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with may of the
appurtenances appertaining to William Skinner and to his heirs and assigns
forever. In testimony whereof I the said auditor have hereunto set my hand
and seal this 7th day of April AD eighteen hundred and twenty nine in

The State of Ohio } Before me Aldon S. Bissell an acting Justice of the
Meigs County      } Peace in the County and State aforesaid personally
                    appeared William Weldon Auditor of Meigs County and
signer and sealer of the foregoing instrument of conveyance and
acknowledged the same to be his voluntary act and deed for the purpose and
use therein contained given under my hand and seal this 7th day of April
AD 1829.
