Cyrus Campbell} Know all people by these presents that I
       to     } Cyrus Campbell of Rutland in Gallia County
Jacob Bickle  } & State of Ohio do for and in considera-
                tion of Two hundred and Eighty dollars 
truly paid to me in hand by Jacob Bickle of Cheshire in 
Gallia County & State of Ohio the receipt whereof I do 
hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied and content 
therewith the above consideration I have received before 
the signing and sealing hereof I have bargained, and sold 
and by these presents I do alien, convey, assign and 
confirm unto Jacob Bickle of Cheshire in Gallia County and 
State of Ohio one certain tract or parcel of land lying in 
Rutland in Gallia County and State of Ohio containing 
about one hundred and sixty acres, it is the south west 
quarter of section number seventeen in the sixth township 
in the fourteenth Range in the Ohio Companys purchase 
according to the said Companys survey. To have and to hold 
the aforesaid tract of land with all the privileges and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging be there more or less, 
to him the said Jacob Bickle, his heirs and assigns 
forever as an estate of inheritance in fee simple and the 
said Cyrus Campbell do for myself, my heirs, executors and 
administrators that I am lawfully seized in fee of the 
premises and they are free from all incumbrances, and I 
will warrant & defend the same to him the said Jacob 
Bickle, his heirs and assigns forever against the legal 
claim of any person.
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal in 
Rutland this thirteenth day of October A.D. one thousand 
eight hundred and thirteen.

Be it remembered that Cyrus Campbell of Rutland and Attai Campbell,
his wife, came personally before me a Justice of the Peace of said 
County and both acknowledged that the within deed is their 
free act and deed acknowledged before me in Rutland this 
13th day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred 
and thirteen.  Abel Larkin, Justice Peace
