Elizur Carver  } Know all men by these presents that I Elizur Carver of
    To         } Marietta in the County of Washington State of Ohio am held
William Wright } firmly bound to William Wright of Salisbury in Gallia County
                 and State aforesaid in the sum of one hundred and ten dollars
which payment well and truly to be made to him the said Wright I bind myself, my
heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents. In testimony of
which I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day August AD one thousand
eight hundred and sixteen. The condition of the above bond is such that whereas
the said Elizur has this day sold to the above named William one hundred and forty
acres of land from the South half of section No. one in Range No. fourteen and
Township No. six in Gallia County and received the above named William's note in
part pay due in one year. Now if the above named Elizur shall make or cause to be
made a good and sufficient deed to the above William on the payment of the note
aforesaid then this bond to be void, otherwise to remain in full force.
