      To            } Rutland, Meigs County and State of Ohio for and in consid-

                      me well and truly paid give, grant and sell unto James R.
Graham of Town, County and State aforesaid a certain tract or parcel of land
situated in Township No.six and fourteenth Range of the Ohio Companys purchase,
bounded as follows beginning at a stake and stones having for bearing trees a
Spanish oak two feet diameter bearing south 31 degrees W. eleven links a Spanish
oak eighteen inches diameter bearing south 32 degrees east twenty six links sixty
four rods from a corner on the North and South line of section No.thirty two
hundred and ten rods from the south west corner thence west ninety six rods to a
stake and stones thence south one hundred and ten rods to a stake and stones
thence east ninety six rods to a stake and stones thence North one hundred and ten
rods to the place of beginning containing sixty six acres. To have and to hold the
same to himself, his heirs, executors or administrators with all the privileges
and appurtenances belonging thereto forever. And that I Gabriel Graham, for
myself, my heirs, executors or administrators do covenant with the said James R.
Graham, his heirs, executors or administrators that I have good right to sell the
above mentioned premises and that I will warrant and defend against the lawful
claims of every body forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal in Rutland this 22 day of January one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.

                       Justice of the peace in and for Meigs County Gabriel Graham
and acknowledged this to be his voluntary act and deed. Also came Mary Graham who
being duly examined according to law acknowledged to relinquish her right to dowry.
