Charles Graham, et al } Know all men by these presents that I Charles Graham To } of Meigs County, Ohio for and in consideration of the William Alexander } sum of one hundred and seventy five dollars current money of the State of Ohio to me in hand paid well and truly by William Alexander of the County and State aforesaid the receipt I do hereby acknowledge have given, granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do freely and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell and convey to him the said William Alexander and his heirs and assigns a certain tract of land in the County of Meigs and State of Ohio it being west half of the South East quarter of Section Eleven Township one in Range Twelve in the District of lands offered for sale at Marietta containing Eighty Acres according to the official plat of the survey of the said Lands returned to the General Land office by the Surveyor General and purchased by the said Charles Graham as will appear by reference to a patent made by the President of the United States of America No. 370 dated at the City of Washington Eight hundred and twenty six to have and to hold the aforesaid granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances to him the said William Alexander or his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Charles Graham for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators do covenant with the said William Alexander, his heirs and assigns that before the ensealing hereof I am the true sole and lawful owner of the above demised premises and have full forever and authority to sell and convey the same as aforesaid. Furthermore I do covenant to warrant, secure and defend the same against the claim or claims of all people. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of May AD 1828. Haman one of Meigs County ss } the acting Justice of the Peace of said County Charles Graham who after being examined according to Law acknowledged the sealing and signing the within instrument to be his voluntary act and deed and that he executed the same for the purposes therein expressed. Also personally appeared Martha Graham wife of Charles Graham she being examined separate and apart from her husband acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within deed of conveyance to be her voluntary act and deed and that she executed the same without the threats, coercion or persuasion of her husband and devised the same may be ________ to record Given under my hand this 31st day of May AD 1828.
