Grant of Salisbury Township, Meigs County George Hoppas } Ohio and Sally T. Grant wife of the said Ebenezer T. Grant for and in consideration of the sum of sixty six dollars and sixty six cents to us well and truly paid in hand do by these presents have granted and sold to George Hoppus of Salisbury Township and County of Meigs and State of Ohio the receipt is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto him the said George Hoppus, his heirs and assigns all of a certain tract of land the West quarter of the one hundred acre lot number three hundred and six 306 situated in Sections No. 24 and thirty in Town No. 1 of Range number thirteen No. 13. in the Ohio Company's Purchase and in the said County of Meigs containing according to survey twenty five acres be the same more or less and for a more particular description of the lot of land hereby intended to be conveyed and for the meets and bounds of the same reference may be had and is hereby made to books and surveys of the said Ohio Company together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances thereof and all our estate, right, title and interest, dower and right of dower therein. To have and to hold the above described land granted and bargained and conveyed premises within appurtenances unto him the said George Hoppas, his heirs and assigns forever and we the said Ebenezer T. Grant and Sally P. Grant, his wife for ourselves and our heirs do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said George Hoppus, his heirs and assigns to warrant and defend against all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof under them their heirs or assigns. In testimony whereof we have set our names and seals this sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four 1834. Grant together with his wife the above grantors and doth acknowledge the above deed of conveyance to be his and her voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the said Sally P. Grant wife of the said Ebenezer T. Grant being examined separate from her husband and the contents of said deed being made known unto her declared that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord without any fear of her husband did and now doth acknowledge the signing and sealing thereof and that she is satisfied therewith in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
