Strawther Hysel } To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting,
    to          } Know ye that I Strawther Hysell of Meigs county and State
D.C. McNaughton } of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred
dollars to me in hand before the ensealing and delivery hereof well and truly paid
by Daniel C. McNaughton of the County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do
hereby acknowledge and myself the _____ fully satisfied and contented have
granted, bargained, sold, aliened and conveyed and by these presents do bargain,
alien, sell, and convey unto him the said Daniel C. McNaughton, his heirs and
assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being a part of
lot No.(320) three hundred and twenty in the (13) thirteenth range situate on the
east side of Leading creek beginning on the north west corner at a stake standing
near the waters of Leading creek on the North line of Lot No.320, thence hundred
and twenty thence south thirty rods to a stake near a spring then east fifty six
rods to a stake, then north thirty rods to the north line of said lot, then west
fifty six rods to the place of beginning containing ten acres be the same more or
less. To have and to hold the said demised and bargained premises with all the
appurtenances, privileges and commodities to the same belonging to him the said
Daniel C. McNaughton, his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper
use, benefit and behoof forever. And I the said Strawther Hysel for myself, heirs,
executors and administrators do covenant to and with the said Daniel C.
McNaughton, his heirs and assigns that before the ensealing hereof I am the
rightful owner of the above bargained premises and have good right to sell and
convey the same in the manner aforesaid. And furthermore do covenant and engage
the above demised premises to him the said Daniel C. McNaughton, heirs and assigns
so that neither I the said Strawther Hysell nor any other person nor my heirs
shall by any means hereafter have claim or demand in or to the premises aforesaid
or any part or parcel thereof. And that the said Daniel C. McNaughton, his heirs
and assigns shall and may forever hereafter possess and enjoy the same free and
clear of and from all lawful claims and demands of all person claiming or to claim
by from or under us or either of us. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this day twenty seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and twenty two.

Betsey wife of said Strawther Hysell in token of her relinquishment

The State of Ohio }
Meigs County      } On this twenty seventh day of July one thousand eight hundred
                    and twenty two, Strawther Hysell and Betsey his
wife the grantors named in the within deed of conveyance personally appeared
before me one of the justices of the peace in and for said County and severally
acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same as their acts and deeds for the
purposes therein appeared. And the said Betsey having been made known to the
contents of said deed and being by me examined separate and apart from her husband
declared that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, without fear or
coercion of her husband did and now doth acknowledge the signing and sealing
thereof, Given under my hand and seal the day and year within written.
