MEIGS CO., OH, DEEDS, VOL.1, 1819-1824 pg.290. Leonard Hysel & Us } Know all men by these presents that I Leonard Hisle of To } Rutland, Meigs County and State of Ohio for and in Russell G. Cook } consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to me paid by Russell G. Cook of said Rutland Township the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, grant, sell, convey, alien and assign forever a certain tract of land situate and being in Rutland aforesaid and in part of section No.two in the sixth Township and fourteenth Range and in the Ohio Companies Purchase and bounded as follows to wit, beginning on the south line of said section No.two one hundred and sixty rods west of the Southeast corner, thence east along said section line fifty seven rods and two thirds of a rod thence north twenty seven rods and eighteen links, thence west fifty seven rods and two thirds of a rod, thence south twenty seven rods and eighteen links to the place of beginning to contain ten acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above described premises with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Russell G. Cook, his heirs and as signs in fee simple forever. I the said Leonard Hisle for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators do covenant to and with him the said Russell G. Cook, his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized in fee of the premises and free from all encumbrances and I will warrant and defend the same to him and them against the lawful claims of all persons whatever.
