Nimrod Hysell } Know all men by these presents that I Nimrod Hysell of Salisbury
      to      } in Gallia County and the State of Ohio, do for and in consideration of
David Thomas } one hundred dollars to me paid in hand by David Thomasof
                Salisbury in Gallia County the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge myself satisfied and content therewith I have have bargained and sold
and by these presents do alien, convey and confirm to the said David Thomas his
heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Salisbury and County
of Gallia and containing forty acres it being the Easterly part of two fifth
divison Lots numbered three hundred and twenty and three hundred and twenty one
in the Ohio Companys purchase, which land is bounded as follows, to wit:
beginning near the East Bank of the right hand fork of Leading Creek, sixteen
rods west of the south East corner of Lot number three hundred and twenty one,
thence west one hundred and twenty rods, thence North seventy two rods five
links, thence East Eighty one rods to the East bank of the above Creek, thence
Southerly with the meanders of said Creek to the place of beginning, the same
containing forty acres. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with all
the privileges and appurtenances thereof to him the said David Thomas his heirs
and assigns as an estate of inheritance in fee simple forever and I the said
Nimrod Hysell do for myself, my heirs, Executors and administrators, covenant to
and with the said David Thomas his heirs, executors and administrators that I am
lawfully seized in fee of the premises and they are free from all incumbrances,
and will warrant and defend the same to him, the said David Thomas heirs and
assigns against the legal claims of any person forever, In witness whereof I
hereunto set my hand and seal in Rutland this 24th day of August one thousand
eight hundred and thirteen.

State of Ohio, Gallia County ss, Nimrod Hysell and Elizabeth Hysell, his wife
came personally before me and both acknowledged that the within deed is their
voluntary free act and deed. Acknowledged before me in Rutland this 26th day of
August A.D. 1813.
