John B. Miles } To all whom it may concern be it known that I John B. Miles of
     To       } Meigs County and State of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum
James Wright  } of one hundred and twenty-five dollars to me in hand well and
                truly paid before the ensealing hereof by James Wright of the
County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given,
granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do
freely fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm
unto the said James Wright, his heirs and assigns forever all of the following
described lot or parcel of land situated in Rutland Township, County and State
aforesaid to wit Beginning one hundred and eighteen rods and eight links west and
fifty four rods and eight links North of the South east corner of Fraction No.
twenty five in Township No. six of Range No. fourteen thence North thirty degrees
east thirteen rods and one third of a rod, thence East thirty degrees South six
rods thence South thirty Degrees west thirteen rods and one third of a rod thence
thirty degrees North six rods to the place of beginning containing one half acre
of land. To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises together with
all the privileges and appurtenances to the ________ belonging or in any wise
appertaining to him the said James Wright, his heirs and assigns to them and then
only proper use, benefit and behoof forever and I the said John B. Miles for
myself, my heirs, executors and administrators do covenant to and with the said
James Wright, his heirs and assigns that I am the true sole and lawful owners of
the above described premises is and am lawfully seized and possessed of the same
in my own proper right as a good perfect and absolute estate of inheritance if fee
simple and that I have full power and authority to sell and convey the same in
manner aforesaid and furthermore that I will and my heirs, executors, and
administrators shall warrant secure and defend the same to the said James Wright
and to his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all
person.  In testimony whereof I the said John B. Miles and Mary Miles wife of the
said J. B. Miles in token of her relinquishment of dower in the premises has
hereunto set his hand and seal this twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord
one thousand and eight hundred and thirty three. Signed, sealed and delivered in

State of Ohio } Before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in the County
Meigs County  } aforesaid personally came John B. Miles and Mary Miles, his wife
                and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the foregoing
instrument of conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes
therein expressed I being satisfied from personal knowledge of them being the
________ person who executed the same the said Mary Miles having been by me
examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents and imports of
said instrument to her made known she declared that she did voluntarily sign, seal
and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith given under my
hand officially the date last above written. N.B. the seventh line from the top
in last line before signing.
