Wm. R. Putnam, Ex } To all to whom these presents shall come greeting, Know ye
       To         } that I, Rufus Putnam late of Marietta in the County of
Holiday Hysell    } Washington and State of Ohio deceased was at the time of his
                    death seized and possessed of a certain tract of land situate
and lying in Meigs County, State aforesaid being the North easterly part of
Section No. four in the sixth township of the fourteenth Range of the Ohio
Company's purchase containing two hundred acres butted and bounded as follows viz
beginning at the North east corner of said section thence running west fifty
chains to a corner thence South forty chains to a corner thence east fifty chains
to a corner thence North fifty chains to the place of beginning in fee and whereas
the said Rufus Putnam by his last will and testament bearing date the eighth day
of July AD 1813 the probate whereof was made in the Court of Common Pleas of said
County of Washington June Term 1826 authorizing and empowering his executors
therein named to sell at their discretion either at private sale or public
_______ all the real and personal estate of which he should ____ seized excepted
such as was deceived by said ____ be it known to all concerned that we William
Rufus Putnam and David Putnam both of Marietta aforesaid being the persons named
as executor in said last will and testament by the power thereof is us vested and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to us in hand before the
ensealing hereof well and truly paid by Holiday Hisle of Meigs County aforesaid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and
by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell unto
him the said Holledy Hisle his heirs and assigns forever the above described tract
of land to have and to hold the above _____ ______ premises to the all and
singular the privileges and appurtenances thereof unto him the Halledy Hisle, his
heirs and assigns in fee simple in as complete manner as the said Rufus Putnam at
the time of his death. In witness whereof we the said William R. Putnam and David
Putnam in our capacity of executors as aforesaid have hereunto set our hands and
seals this twenty sixth day of July AD one thousand eight hundred and thirty two.

State of Ohio     } At Marietta this 26th of July AD 1832 William R. Putnam and
Washington County } David Putnam personally appeared and in their capacity of
                    executors of Rufus Putnam acknowledged the within instrument
by them subscribed to be their voluntary act and deed before me and I further
certify that they are known to me as permanent inhabitants of this town.
