BOND James Mitchell from John Russell
Know all men by these presents that I John Russell of Union, Washington County
and State Ohio am bound and obliged to James Mitchell of the same place in the
sum of eight hundred dollars and by these presents do bind myself, my heirs and
executors to pay to the said James Mitchell the sum of eight hundred dollars as
witness my hand this third day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fourteen. The condition of the above obligation is such that
if the aforesaid James Mitchell does pay or cause to be paid to the said John
Russell the several notes in hand of one hundred and fifty dollars each viz one
note payable on or before the first day of April one thousand eight hundred and
fourteen, to the said John Russell is to give to the said J. Mitchell a good and
sufficient deed of nine hundred and two acres of land lying in Section 34 & 23,
Township No. 6, Range No. 13, then the above obligation is to be null and void,
otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
