Wm. Skinner & us } to all people to whom these presents shall come greeting,
     To          } Know ye that I William Skinner of Marietta in the County
Richd Weldon     } of Washington, for and in consideration of the sum of four
                   hundred and eighty dollars to me in hand before the ensealing
hereof well and truly paid by Richard Weldon of Orange in the County of Meigs the
receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and am therewith fully satisfied and
contented, have given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed,
and by these presents do freely, fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell,
alien, convey and confirm unto him the said Richard Weldon, his heirs and assigns
forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the said County of Meigs it
being the Southwest quarter of Section thirty two of the fourth township of the
twelfth range containing one hundred and sixty acres be the same more or less
bounded as follows (viz) beginning at the South west corner of said section thence
running North to a point at an equal distance between the Southwest and Northwest
corner of said Section thence due east  to the center of said section, thence
South to a point on the ground in the line on the South side of said section at
an equal distance from the Southeast and South west corners of said section,
thence west to the place of beginning which lands were a part of a share in the
Ohio Company drawn in the name of Halfield White and Josiah Munroe and by them
conveyed to me for them and more full description reference may be had to the
records of the County. To have and to hold the said granted  and bargained
premises with all the appurtenances, privileges and commodities to the same in
any wise belonging to him the said Richard Weldon, his heirs and assigns forever
to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever.  And I the said
William Skinner for my heirs, executors and administrators do covenant to and
with the said Richard Weldon, his heirs and assigns, that before the ensealing
hereof I am the true, sole and lawful owner of the above bargained premises and
am lawfully seized and possessed of the same in my own proper right as a good
perfect and absolute estate of inheritance in fee simple and have full power and
authority to sell and convey the said bargained premises in manner as aforesaid
and furthermore do covenant and engage the above demised premises to him the said
Richard Weldon, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims or demands of any
person or persons whatsoever, forever hereafter to warrant, secure and defend by
these presents. And I Mary Skinner for the consideration of the sum of one dollar
do hereby relinquish all of my right  of dower in and unto the premises. In
witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this first day of July
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen.

personally appeared and acknowledged the same to be his free and voluntary act
and deed. And also Mary Skinner being examined as the law directs voluntarily
acknowledged her relinquishment of right of dower before me.
