William SNIDER b. abt. 1815 in Ohio and Elizabeth BENSON b. abt.. 1817 in OH or VA were married in Guernsey Co., Ohio 24 March 1839. Guernsey Co. Book N page 462 shows a deed dated 27 September 1839 where Wm. Snider and Elizabeth his wife of Beaver Twp. sold to Samuel STARR for $65 property described as back lot no. 7 in Williamsburg lying in Beaver Twp. Guernsey Co. Their first son Thomas H. SNIDER was born in 1840 in Monroe Co. Ohio. Wm. and Elizabeth Snider are in the 1850 and 1860 census of Meigs Co. Ohio. Children besides Thomas H. are John b. abt. 1842, James b. abt. 1845, Sarahe b. abt. 1848, Wm. b. abt. 1852, Elizabeth b abt. 1855 and Charles b abt. 1857.
