Forgive me folks. I haven't found the surname listing, so listing my Halsey note here.

My 4th great grandfather was Edward Halsey b. NY and possibly a Rev. War vet. That hasn't been proven. I first pick him up in 1809 where he purchased land from his son-in-law Obidiah Walker in Athens Co., Oh. (now part of Meigs Co.) Obidiah m. Cassandra Halsey in Washington Co., Oh. in 1802.

Edward may have a brother Thomas L. I find this Thomas in Ohio owning land near Obidiah and later near Edward, but not living on the land.

Edward was a vet of the War of 1812 and died in 1818.

Trying to tie my Halsey line with the right folks. It may have been a coincidence, but my great grandfather Halsey and Admiral "Bull" Halsey look like they could be brothers.

I'm at YKMC52A@PRODIGY.COM if I don't find my way back here.
