The Last Will and Testament of William Byram 
May 2, 1845

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all:

I William Byram of Lebanon Township Meigs County and the State of Ohio
being of sound mind and memory and knowing the uncertainity[sic] of life
and certainty [sic] of death do make and publish this my last will and
testament.

Item 1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife in lieu of her dower the
farm on which we now reside situate[sic] in Town No 3 Range 11. Section
of the Ohio Company purchase containing two hundred and fourteen acres
during her natural life and all the stock, household goods, furniture
provisions and other goods and chattels which may be left thereon at the
time of my decease during her natural life aforesaid she however selling
so much there of as may be sufficient to pay my just debts At the death
of my said wife the real estate aforesaid and such part of the said
personal property or the proceeds thereof as may remain unconsumed and
unexpended I give and devise to my five sons and one daughter viz David,
Jeremiah,Andrew Jackson, Jacob, William Henry and Sarah they paying to
Eliza Kimes my wifes oldest daughter twenty five dollars out of my
personal property providing there be so much left Provided however if my
wife should again marry, the whole shall then be equally divided
between my heirs if they should be of age and if not they shall choose
some good judicious man to attend to the said estate until they should
become of age

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day

Signed and acknowledged by said William Biram as his last will and
testament in our presence and signed by....
