The Last Will and Testament of Josephus C. Carpenter January 7, 1907 I, Josephus C. Carpenter being in sound mind. Do will and bequeath to my wife Phoebe Carpenter the farm on which we live to maintain her lifetime. She can have control of the place during her lifetime and at her death it is to be divided up equal between my children. All to share equal. Anna Cleland, Sherman Carpenter, Emma Gotschall, Justine Hutton, Eva Rife, Elzworth Carpenter, Danie Carpenter, Winnie Carpenter. They can sell it and divide equal the proceeds. I give to my wife Phoebe Carpenter and my daughter Winnie the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars and interest which Mc Smith owes me to do as they wish with.
